Hello all,
Here is a quote than reached out and spoke volumes to me:
“Time is our most valuable asset, yet we tend to waste it, kill it, and spend it rather than invest it.“
— Jim Rohn
Over the weekend, I read two powerful stories about life. In the first article, an Australian man decided that he had enough with his life. He grew tired of it because of some heartbreak he suffered. So, he decided to sell his life on eBay for over $2 million dollars. With this auction, this man decided to sell all his worldly possessions, his friends, and his house. Unfortunately, due to some glitch in eBay’s system, false bidding took place and drove up the price and those bids had to be retracted. The auction ended recently and he only was able to fetch just over $94,000. Believe it or not, he hoped to fetch more.
The second story I read deals with a very successful model who has died. Just recently, her death was ruled a suicide by the NYPD. The model, whom I won’t name out of respect, came from Kazakhstan and her image graced the covers of many top fashion magazines and runways around the world. Imagine, coming from a small country in Europe to only in up becoming one of the most beautiful faces in the rough and tumble world of fashion and haute couture.
Now, here are two people that have everything to live for and had time on their side and what do they do with the time that is given to them? One decides to sell his life and the other decides to kill or take her own life. Yet, think about this…time is given to each of them and do you see results? Time is given to everyone of us when we’re born. Its up to us to decide what we will do with the time that is alloted. There should be no one telling us what to do with our time or how we should spend it. However, we must spend it wisely because time is so precious. There are some who did not wake up this morning and there are some that may not see the dawn. No matter what you’re doing with your time, spend it doing things that add sustenance to your life. Invest in things that add quality to your life and the lives of others.
How are you spending your time?
Nice writing. You are on my RSS reader now so I can read more from you down the road.
