Motivation for the day: Leaping from darkness to the light!

Hello all,

Today’s motivation come from Henry David Thoreau:

“We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal and then leap in the dark to our success.”
— Henry David Thoreau

Darkness can be a very frightening thing. Why is that so? Is it the fear of the unknown? Is the fear of not being able to see our way? It could be a number of reasons but one thing is clear…in life, there comes a time when we must let go and take a leap of faith into the unknown. Sometimes, taking that leap means not knowing the outcome…will we land safely, where will we land, is there an unseen obstacle standing in the way? Is there even a safety net to break the fall?

During these times of doubt, this is when faith becomes our safety net when we do take that leap. It is faith that helps us land properly, regardless of the circumstances. There have been times in my life when I was afraid to leap for fear of not knowing the outcome or not knowing when and where I would land. However its faith that sustains me, no matter what the outcome may be.

Today, as you go about your daily activities, take that conscious walk as you always do. When the time comes to take that leap, take it resting in the knowledge that faith will guide you through, no matter what. Remember that at the other end of that darkness is a light that represents success.

Let there be light…

Karen
